Q: |
Can foreign students (outside of Canada) apply
for the intern program? |

3. |
Q: |
Do you accept applications for work terms other
than the terms listed? |
|
A: |
Work term start dates may be flexible, although they are set at a
certain length (usually four months). New internship positions that arise
throughout the year are posted on our website. |

|
4. |
Q: |
What kind of writing sample should I submit? |
|
A: |
The writing sample should be a brief demonstration of your
research and writing abilities. A 6-page length is given as a broad guideline.
We are not concerned with font size, paragraph spacing or word count. The
writing sample does not have to be on the same topic as the research project(s)
that you are applying for. It does not have to be a new piece of writing. For
example, you may want to use a portion of a paper that you submitted for a
school course, or an article that was submitted to or published in a newspaper
or journal. |

Q: |
Are the internships posted the only internships
available? |
|
A: |
All available internships are posted on our website. Internships
can vary and sometimes internships are not available in all of our offices or
in a certain field. If you don’t see a position or the city you want, it means
there are currently no openings. |

|

Q: |
May I apply for all the research
projects? |
|
A: |
You may apply for any projects that interest you. As the projects are in varied
policy areas (and in different cities), we encourage you to carefully review
them and only apply for those to which you are best suited. |
