Free teen heart screening

Thousands of youth die annually when their heart unexpectedly stops due to an undetected condition that causes Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), a leading cause of death under 25 and the #1 killer of student athletes. The Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation has tried to combat this tragic loss of young lives by screening 20,000 teens and counting, finding nearly 1 in 100 at risk from an undetected heart abnormality. Volunteers will screen over 600 teens on Sunday.
