San Diego is known for its community events and there was a big one Tuesday night in Encinitas. It was the 28th Annual Taste of Mainstreet Encinitas and KUSI's Brandi Williams was right in the middle of it.

63rd annual Ron Trenton Memorial Lifeguard relay in Ocean Beach
'Race for Rady' fundraiser benefits the Peckham Center for CancerThis year, the Dutch Shoe Marathon teamed up with the "Race For Rady" team for a very special annual event. Held by the San Diego Yacht Club, it benefited the Peckham Center for cancer and blood disorders at Rady's Children Hospital. Every year, close to 200 sailors participate, representing yacht clubs throughout Southern California.
Wednesday marked the opening day for the Farmer's Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course. It's considered to be San Diego's most prestigious golf tournament.
