Best of 2015... Rebel road trips to Texas and Fort Mac!

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

I love hitting the road to talk to ordinary people about their lives, their problems, their triumphs and, especially, what they love about their home towns.

This year, I made two special trips:

To Texas and Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Long time locals and newcomers alike told me about what made life in these two oil industry capitals special.

Meet the gay Metis ethical oil booster, and the Texas ranchers who've embraced fracking while preserving their traditional lifestyle and the environment around them.

Prepare to have some stereotypes busted!

The NDP budget is a disaster. 50,000 are out of work. Investment is fleeing the province.

I wonder if we can convince Ezra to take the VIA rail train from Thompson to Churchil?

Hi Sam Young,
Very good idea, I live in Alberta and have been saying the same thing about a port in Churchill Manitoba. It would be much better for Alta, Sask, and Man to work together and say to %#!! with BC, Ont and Que.

Ezra, This is one of your best shows. With that in mind, I certainly don’t want to encourage your eating to excess as you did in Texas, “the Alberta of the South”. The part of the show from Fort Mac was fantastic! I have told people many times that oil leaks into creeks and rivers naturally in the Fort Mac area and it always falls on def ears. Thanks Ezra and team, keep up a good work.

Hi Ezra: Loved the Texas and Ft. McMurray clip. Would absolutely love it if you would pay a visit to Mariposa County in Arizona and interview Sheriff J. Arpaio and Mike Zullo re the court case they are currently attending that has incorporated the Cold Case Investigation re Obamas Birth Certificate. I believe the Obama Investigation will soon be coming to a head. Mike Zullo is the primary investigator. Thanks much………….Happy New Year

It shouldn’t come as a shock that there is not one green success story on earth, no one can point to a green project that has not done more damage than good, that has not cost many times more than anything else. It is all a big sham.

Nathan W, it is hard to be inspired by an industry that receives billions of dollars in government subsidies and basically has nothing to show for it. Going green is putting us in the red and it is killing jobs in the manufacturing and energy sector.

You should also considering visiting some of the folks working in the clean energy industry. You might find them inspiring – it is the way of the future.

Here is an idea for a trip. Go to Churchil, Manitoba. Churchil has a port on the Hudson Bay and they have a train track that extends into Saskatchewan. I would like to see Churchil get promoted so that the prairie provinces use the port more.

Do you think it’s possible to build a pipeline to Churchil? I think that would be a lot better for the oil industry, than having to put a pipe through Ontario and Quebec.
