Sanderling Resort, the upscale Outer Banks resort located in Duck, North Carolina, is offering America’s heroes a special treatment as part of their annual “Heroes Welcome” fall promotion. As part of the thank-you to servicemen and -women, Sanderling will offer 20 percent discounts on lodging, dining and retail purchases to military, fire and rescue, law enforcement and medical workers with valid identification.

Similarly, Sanderling will be offering a discounted rate to any guests who donate $5 to benefit the Town of Duck public safety auxiliary. Those who choose to contribute will receive 20 percent off their nightly room rates.

Sandwiched on a spit of land in between the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound, Sanderling recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation, and has become one of the premier destinations for Outer Banks travelers. In addition to its signature restaurants and spa, the property now offers horse tours and water adventures.
