Castle Hill Station

Castle Hill Station is an underground station, about 25 metres below ground level, located in a major retail and commercial centre.

Access and entry

Station access and entry is via an entry plaza at the intersection of Old Northern Road and Old Castle Hill Road.

Construction includes:

• Retail space at station entry

• Park landscaping
• New traffic lights at Old Northern Road and Terminus Street
• Modification to the intersection at Crane Road, Old Northern Road,Old Castle Hill Road and Castle Street
• Footpath upgrades along Old Castle Hill and Old Northern roads
• Pedestrian crossings on Old Castle Hill and Old Northern roads
• Access for emergency, delivery and maintenance vehicles
• Major bus interchange facilities for buses
• Re-interpretation of historic elements from the Arthur Whitling Park
• Station skylights integrated as part of the Arthur Whitling Park to provide natural light to the platform and concourse below.​

The station is located beneath Arthur Whitling Park, opposite the Castle Towers Shopping Centre. Castle Hill is a major town centre, 26 kilometres north west of Sydney central business district (CBD).

Indicative travel time:

• 44 minutes (including interchange) to Wynyard Station
• 35 minutes to Sydney Metro’s Martin Place Station (from 2024).

• Station construction,
• Station construction and fit-out
• Station precinct works
• Tunnel systems fit-out
• Testing and commissioning.

Construction of Castle Hill Station is taking place from late 2016.
