Uno went to the ice rink for fun with his father when he was five years old and liked skating immediately. He looks up to 2010 World Champion Daisuke Takahashi. Uno switched coaches in 2019 and has relocated to Switzerland for training. Coach Stephane Lambiel is the 2006 Olympic silver medalist and the 2005 and 2006 World Champion.
