92/100 Parker ****(*) RVF Manzanilla is fino produced in the area of Sanlucar de Barrameda, where the nearby sea has an influence on the flor and creates wines with a noticeably salty tang. (Flor is the pale, wrinkly, yellowish mould that produces sherry's yeasty character). Made from Palomino Fino grapes, cultivated on the white marl soils so typical of the area, this classic, delicate Andalusian sherry has a refreshing acidity. Pale gold in colour, the wine is light, dry and crisp with a zesty, sea-dog character.
