Apple Security Update ReviewCrashes here too - Version: 2005-009, 12/9/2005 10:34PM PST

cat22 (Steve Wise)
My experience is similar to others reported here. Since I installed this security update, Safari crashes whenever it tries to open a web page. Maybe only pages with java, since the crash log indicates it can't "map" the java plugin, or something like that. Finder Help also crashes. Then Safari
and Netscape both managed to lose all my bookmarks.
Stay away from this update.

Apple Security Update ReviewAll appears well except for in Safari - Version: 2005-009, 12/2/2005 06:08AM PST

Zymphus
I installed this a few days, repairing permissions before and after installation. As far as I can tell so far it has caused no problems except for in Safari. I'm using Safari 1.3.1 (v312.3.3). Since installing the Security Update I have noticed the following: i] Safari takes a long time to open; ii] If I try to Show All Bookmarks the application disappears withou warning.

The following makes no sense to me, but herein lies the problem as CrashReporter documents it:

Date/Time: 2005-12-02 12:14:53 +0000
OS Version: 10.3.9 (Build 7W98)

As always, I repair permissions before and after an OS update. All appears to be well.
