Shipping and Ordering Information

Shipping Rates
Recent postal rate increases have forced the introduction of "shipping & handling" charges at ChessCentral. Still the best deal around, the cost is $3 for each book, software program, video, and CD ordered. There are special shipping and handling charges for sets, boards and other heavy weight products sent outside the U.S. All items unless otherwise noted are shipped First Class - Air Mail worldwide. Books shipped outside the U.S. will be shipped surface mail. There are no tracking numbers on these shipments. We will continue to absorb the difference between this charge and actual shipping expenses, and pass the savings on to you. Naturally, there will be NO shipping charges for ChessCentral E-Books!

Please allow 5-7 business days for U.S. delivery of all products and 14-21 days for most international delivery of software and CDs before contacting us. International delivery of books may take up to 6-8 weeks depending on the destination country. Please be advised it can take up to 8 weeks in some countries for any package to arrive. This is due to the country's government Custom's Department. If you would like tracking and a guaranteed timeframe for outside USA shipments using UPS, please email us at: email@chesscentral.com

ChessCentral now offers Priority, UPS, and Federal Express for guaranteed quick deliveries in the U.S.A. (Continental USA only for courier service) as outlined below. These charges per item are in addition to the basic shipping cost for each item. Saturday delivery for Courier Service is an extra charge. Easy Returns
If you don't want it, we take it back - no questions asked. In other words, satisfaction guaranteed or your money back! If for any reason you are dissatisfied with a ChessCentral purchase, you can return it within 30 days of purchase with a copy of the original invoice and in the original packaging for full purchase price refund. Software, DVDs and CDs must not be opened. Products must not be shop worn, or outdated. If the product is defective we will replace it free. We stand behind our products 100%! Chess Set and Chess Boards
Our sets and boards come from either the House of Staunton or Legacy. Both accept returned items. We will refund all but shipping charges (which range between $18-$30 depending on weight) and have a 10% repacking and restocking fee. This assumes that all returns are received in as-sent condition. Returns of chess boards are accepted, but be advised, that if not returned in mint condition we can not refund your money. Always, if a set or board arrives damaged, we will replace it free or refund your money. Please be sure to keep the shipping packaging.

Placing your order with ChessCentral is easy. Just follow these steps to order any of our great products online.

1. Click on any item you'd like to buy. You'll be taken to that item's Product Page. On the Product Page, you'll see a detailed description of that item.

2. Click "Add to Cart" to add that item to your Shopping Cart. If you want to buy more than one item, click Continue Shopping and repeat the first step. In your Shopping Cart you'll see the items you've added along with the total price. At this point you have some options:

    If you're changing the Quantity, use the Quantity box and click Recalculate.

    If you're Removing an Item, uncheck the Item in the Include box and click Recalculate.

3. Click "Checkout" when you're ready to place your order. You'll be taken to the Shipping Page to enter your billing and shipping addresses and credit card payment information.

 4. Click "Order" for the last step. You will receive our Thank You page with your order and a confirmation e-mail for your records.
