Shipping Costs:
There is a $6.00 minimum shipping charge in the USA, but your shipping charge may be more, so please read the following carefully --
Please add shipping & handling charges (normally as follows): In US, at least 10% of the sub-total; to Canada at least 25%, & Mexico at least 35%.
The above percentages are estimates, and shipping charges within the United States or to other countries may vary widely depending upon the specific type of shipment and the country it is going to, as well as the type of protection required for any given package.
So, please inquire as to the shipping details of your order if you are not paying by credit card, before you send an order and payment to us in the mail.
Also, heavy items -- which are charged by weight -- and longer or larger items requiring unusual packaging such as demonstration boards and wood chess boards etc., will cost more for us to ship to you, and it will be necessary for us to charge you accordingly.
Due to the vagaries of the postal service, please allow 2 weeks for delivery of regular first-class shipping just-in-case (except on special-order items which will take longer to complete before shipping the items to you).
Rush Orders:
Rush orders require an added charge.
Remember to specify "Priority Mail" or "Express Mail" delivery for your rush order.
NOTE: Please remember that Express mail is considerably more expensive than Priority Mail, and our suggestion is that you request Express Mail only when you absolutely have to have your package within 1 or 2 days or so, and are willing to pay for it.
One advantage to Express Mail is that is it delivered on weekends (including Sundays) and holidays if someone is there to sign for it!
Remember that, depending upon the area of the USA in which you live, and what time of the day we receive your order, Express Mail may not always be able to deliver your shipment to you in 1 day, as it may only be guaranteed to your area for 2 days or so.
Also, the US Postal service calls Priority Mail 2-3 day service but will not guarantee it. In our experience, a package which is shipped Priority Mail can take anywhere from 2 or 3 days to 7 or 8 days, so please be patient if your package does not arrive immediately.
