Greetings
I, unfortunately, was not at the Ladies Open, but from what I've been told it was a truly magnificent event, hosted by Gauteng Juniors. My congratulations go to all who were involved.
Let's hope that it serves as a showcase to others, as to how a prestigious tournament should be organised and run.
Once again - WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!
Regards
Bridgette
What a huge success. Congratulations to Gauteng Juniors who did a tremendous
job on organizing this event.
Thank you Lynne van Rensburg, Julia Mendes and Allister Main for your hard
work over these past 2 months and for
the work over this weekend. You are all STARS!!!!!
Mr Aitchison, as chairman, of Gauteng Juniors, we really appreciate the fact
that you were so closely involved
with this tournament.
Thank you for the great venue, the sponsopships, the media couverage, the
arrangements for bringing a Grand Master,
like Jennifer Shahade, to the LADIES AND THE GREAT OPPORTUNITY THE LADIES
AND CHILDREN HAD TO SEE HER IN ACTION AND
TO LEARN FROM HER. It was for some of us an opportunity which might only
come once.
You did chess and the ladies proud.
Thank you for being present all the time. I'm sure it was not expected, but
it did not go by unnoticed.
Once again Congratulations on a great tournament.
Regards,
Ralie Roos
Dear All
I want to support every word that Ralie Roos has said. We need more people to
promote chess and to create opportunities for our players other than the
current turmoil that is currently hampering chess is SA.
Thanks to everyone involved in the SA Ladies Open Chess event. What a
showcase for chess in South Africa !!!!
Congratulations to all involved. You did SA proud.

Allow me also to add my congratulations to all who was involved in this
really prestigious and well presented tournament. The LOC, the Arbiters,
the Ladies' committee . . . . and all those that I have not mentioned now.
It was indeed a good advertisement for chess.
WELL DONE!
PS And I do think that the CHESSA money for Kas Naidoo was spent well.
