The Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran shall host
the Asian Youth Championships 2006 for the Open and Girls
Divisions under 8, 10, 12 and 14 years of age from 23rd June to
1st July 2006 in Tehran under the auspices of FIDE and the Asian
Chess Federation.
This event will be held at Olympic Hotel in Tehran.
India, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan,
UAE, Qatar, Syria and Iran registered in the event.
Fide
President H.E. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov will be guest of honor
of I.R.Iran Chess federation and opens the games.

The
final part of the Iranian Championship takes place in Tehran
10th-20th September 2005. This is a 12 player round robin
tournament, the winner also will qualify for the Asian
Individual ch. 2005 in India. Time control is FIDE standard
(90'+30").

Competitors from 5 countries take part in 4th Lahijan Open
Tournament, Which held in Azad University Hall in Lahjan city. The
event, to be held under the name of Koloocheh Noosheen , feature
Five international Grandmaster, 13 international master , 5 FIDE
master and 1 Women International Mater, 83 rated players and totally
238 players. The players will represent Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia,
Turkmenistan and France.
