Store Policies for the ChessOutpost

Delivery Confirmation and Tracking:

All software and Chess Clocks I ship is via U.S.P.S. First Class mail with delivery confirmation.  When the delivery confirmation number indicates it has been delivered to the address you provide me, my obligation is complete.  I will not reship any product or refund any monies if the delivery confirmation number indicates it was delivered.  There are no exceptions to this policy.

All DGT Boards are packed well and shipped UPS Ground.   When the tracking number for your order indicates it was delivered to the address you provide me, my obligation is complete unless there is a defect or damaged product in shipping.  I will not reship any product or refund any monies if the UPS Tracking number indicates it was delivered.  There are no exceptions to this policy. 

I will consider shipping DGT Boards Internationally but ONLY to a Verified PayPal address.  I will NOT ship to an address other than the credit card holders billing address.  I will refund your payment minus any PayPal fees I incur.

The BUYER is responsible for ANY and all fees outside of the United States.  This includes Taxes, Customs, or any other fee.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE EVER.

International Software Orders:

I ship software Internationally via U.S.P.S Air Letter Post.  It takes about 7-10 days.  I take a photograph of the envelope with your address on it, and the software itself you ordered.  There is no tracking available on International orders.  If you do not live in the United States, then rely on my PayPal Verified Premier account status to feel comfortable you will get your product as long as the respective mail carriers don't lose it.

I do not guarantee any shipments outside of the United States will be delivered.  I take pictures to prove I shipped what you bought, after that I am not responsible if you do not receive it.  I have been in business for 5+ years now so you will have to trust me.  I will ship what you buy from me but there is no way for me to guarantee something I cannot track.

I will not reship any product or refund any monies on International Orders.  There are no exceptions to this policy. 

Software:

Software can be exchanged for the same software only if there is a defect in the media.

Since pirating software is so easy to do, I cannot accept any software returns for anything other than defective media, in which case I will exchange it for like software ONLY.  I would rather have you ask 100 questions and be sure about your purchase first, than try to return it.  I simply cannot do it, as I cannot return it to the software creator's for anything other than defective media.  I cannot re-pack and re-sell software once it has been opened.

PayPal Policies:

I prefer to ship to Verified PayPal addresses only.  If you give me an unverified mailing address through PayPal, I will ship it there but when the delivery confirmation number I provide you says it has been delivered,  my obligation is then complete.  I will not refund any money or reship product that says it has been delivered under any circumstances.

DGT Products:

For the DGT Boards and Clocks, I insure all shipments.  If they do not work upon arrival, I will put you in contact with the DGT Labs repair facility.  I do test all boards before they are shipped, so boards that do not work should  be a rarity.

Shipping Charges:

All shipping charges for returns/exchanges are at your expense.  This includes the shipping back to me, and the shipping from me back to you.  There are no exceptions.

Credit Card Purchases and shipping to alternate addresses:

I will not, under any circumstances, ship a product to any other country other than the country the cardholder lives in.

The only way I will ship product to any other country other than the United States, is to the cardholder's address only.  There will be no alternate address accepted for any transaction outside of the United States.

Inside the United States, for items shipped to an alternate address outside of the State of the cardholder, I will be contacting you by phone to confirm your purchase.

Bottom Line:  Fraudster's Stay Away!  I work in the fraud industry and forward all suspect transactions to the authorities, and I contact the cardholder personally before I approve the transaction. 

"But I don't like what I bought, can I return it?"

I keep my prices at the lowest level I can afford to still break even.  I am not in this for the money, never have been, never will be.  However, I'm not in the business to lose money either.

Returning product wastes everyone's time, and costs a lot of money for everybody.  I cannot accept a return simply because you don't like it.  If there is not a defect, I will not accept returns.  

Please make sure you want what you buy.  I can't say it any other way.  I will answer any and all questions regarding the products before you buy.  Once all your questions are answered and you hit the "buy" button, the sale is final unless there is a defect.
