SimCity 2000 (Maxis, 1993)

The follow-up to Maxis' masterwork SimCity, SimCity 2000 adds many facets to the simulation, including things such as schools, jails, zoos, different kinds of taxes, enhanced money allocation, and a wider variety of zoning options. The combination of all this ends up making SimCity 2000 much harder than the original, and in some cases more frustrating since it becomes even harder to have a positive cash flow in this game. Also, the game gets a little too silly at points, where a more serious simulation would improve the game. However, if you were a fan of the original SimCity, you will almost certainly enjoy this game.
