Storyline

Olive Oyl is bored with Popeye just sitting around her house playing with a yo-yo. She wants him to be romantic, but Popeye considers that to be sissy. Olive cooks up a plot to make Popeye jealous. She fries up some hamburgers and then uses an electric fan to blow the aroma over to Wimpy's house. The trick works and soon Wimpy is in her kitchen using food analogies as compliments, e.g. "Your eyes are like limpid pools of chicken fat." Popeye laughs this all off until he hears the unmistakable smack of a kiss (which Olive planted on Wimpy's nose). Popeye challenges Wimpy to a fight, but Wimpy declares that fisticuffs are beneath his dignity. Instead, he proposes an eating duel. Written by J. Spurlin
