Welcome to Compendia, the traditional games shop in Greenwich Market. Here you can buy board games, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, dominoes and a range of fun bits and pieces.

We have a reputation for finding games that are difficult to get hold of like Set, Mexican Train dominoes, and Phase 10 cards from America and the Japanese board game Go. You can also find family favourites such as tri-ominos and traditional British games including the cricket dice game Owzthat, Shut the Box and Shove Ha'penny

Our games rely mainly on mind power and occasionally some manual dexterity. We do not sell computer games or games that require batteries or plugs. If you have any questions please give us a ring on 020 8293 6616. The shop is open from 11-5.30 seven days a week. Our Carrom boards are now happily in production and we have two designs for you choose from on the carrom page. If you want to pop down to Compendia to choose your own board there other colour combinations to choose from.

We’ve added five new games to the website. The most exciting is Sudoku, the game of the newspaper puzzle. Now not only can you play by yourself but up to 4 players can play, solving the same puzzles simultaneously. Each player has their own set of the same 100 puzzles varying in difficulty from Junior to Samurai.

Cheapass games specialise in games that come with no pieces or dice, instead you raid your other board games for these and so you don’t have to pay for pieces you already have. The games all have intriguing setups as you can tell from the titles; Kill Doctor Lucky, Save Doctor Lucky, and Devil Bunny needs a ham which we are selling as a twin pack with Devil Bunny hates the earth. They’ll appeal to teenagers and adults but the setups and language probably aren’t for younger children.

At this time of year some people like to get all their Christmas shopping out of the way at one fell swoop. As a bit of encouragement all orders placed during in October that total over 100.00 will a get free copy of one of the cheapass games.
