Instructions

This game lets you play Chess against a computer opponent.

To do a move, left-click the mouse pointer on the piece you want to move and then click on the square you want to move that piece to.

To make the computer begin searching for a move, click once on the 'Move' button at the top and wait for it to move. Therefore, if you want to play as white against the computer then click the 'Move' button on black's moves. The time that it takes to move depends on how fast your computer is.

If you want to save a position in your current game to come back to later then click on the 'Save' button. To load this position up again, click on the 'Load' button. You can only have one save game at a time and this will be lost when you close the window down. 

If you have made a mistake and want to go back a move then click on the 'Undo' button. You can undo as many moves as you want.

If you want to keep a copy of the game notation when you have finished your game then copy and paste it from the move list on the right.

Chess Opening's Statistics
These are statistics compiled from over 2 million games. It shows for each opening and variation what percentage of matches were won by white, black and were drawn. Also included are white's and black's best and worst 10 openings statistically and what are the most and least drawish openings. There are statistics for nearly 300 different openings and variations.
