We currently run two one-day junior tournaments a year. Our Autumn tournament incorporates sections for U8s, U10s and U12s (age as of 1 September) which are qualifying tournaments for the London Junior Championships as well as an Under 18 section.

Our Spring/Early Summer tournament doubles as the Richmond Junior Championships. There are four sections, grouped by a combination of age and rating.

The current venue for these events is Whitton School (click here for map), which is just off the A316 and within easy reach of the M3 and M25. It is a short walk from Whitton Station and is also served by buses from Richmond, Twickenham and Hounslow.

We also run a schools tournament open to teams of 4 from schools in the Borough of Richmond upon Thames. This takes place in late January or early Feburary at Hampton School (click here for map).

This season (2005-06) we are also running a slowplay tournament over 7 rounds with matches taking place at Richmond Junior Club (or elsewhere by mutual arrangement) about once every 6 weeks. There is a guaranteed prize fund of £450 with a first prize of £200. The tournament is suitable for players with BCF grades about 80+. Click here for a copy of the entry form.
