Can I copy some of your articles? NO. Writers only get paid when they sell their work. Copying content is not only illegal, but mean. It literally takes the food from our babies' mouths. On the other hand, please feel free to link to our site.

What is the purpose of greenlightWRITE? greenlightWRITE began as one business writer's brochureware. I thought I would post a few of my articles and wait for the editors to vie for my services. Yeah, right. Editors actually have to find a website before they can decide if you are right for their publications. Clearly I needed a gimmick. Enter the quotation collection. When I was 16, my friend, Cindy, turned me on to the power of assembling and keeping words that struck a chord within my nerdy little soul. I've been collecting quotations ever since, and it seemed a natural to transfer my collection to the site as editor bait. Or a lure for anyone else who might require my professional services. And as I've explained on the anti-niche page, Jane Marie is a darned good draw for the weary HR professional who needs a little bit of graciousness as well as a seminar or two from moi. So the purpose of greenlightWRITE is to share not only the words and wisdom of the great and near great, but also to showcase what we can do for you:

Why do some of your pages look different from the others? We're always in the midst of one of our makeovers, but since Nancy is the entire web department, she muddles along as best she can.
Why don't you hire a graphic designer? The budget.
What is a rosarian? It's someone who loves roses.
What's with all the mini book reviews? I like to read. Heck, I'm a readaholic. And since I can't sit down with each and every one of you and discuss the finer points of A Suitable Boy or the Drones Club, this works for me. * Vikram Seth's A Suitable Boy is one of the very best books I've ever read. It's a long, wonderful look at middle class India in the 1950s. NK
So what's the Drones Club? The Drones club is fictional London establishment where the more useless male members of society hang out in several of P. G. Wodehouse's wonderful stories. I suggest you begin with The Most of P. G. Wodehouse, reading "Goodbye to All Cats" and "Uncle Fred Flits By," which are absolute gems. Update - Apparently there's an actual Drones Club too. But we don't think it's a civic organization.

Why are anonymous quotations attributed to unknown? Anonymous indicates we know who said it and we're not telling. Unknown means we haven't got a clue.
What is Vogon poetry? The late great Douglas Adams described Vogon poetry in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as "the third worst in the Universe." The second worst causes internal hemorrhaging. In the poetry of the universe, as in all things, we aim to be number one. However, to prevent your head from exploding, we've removed all the links to our poetry - I think.
