Welcome to nib's Mapper Resource Center (MRC). The purpose of this site is to twofold.
First I needed a place to post my maps for you folks to download, second, I wanted to offer what
little knowledge I have to those just getting started with creating levels. Now, I know there are
tons of tutorials on the web for this already, so why would I do this? Well, the main reason is that
I find that the tutorials on the web don't really tie everything together. Sure, you can find a
tutorial that shows you how to create a light entity, but can you find one that actually shows you the
best way to place them throughout your map? If they exist, I can't find them.
What I really hope to do is create a series of tutorials that, when completed, will leave you with
a completed map. There is so much more to creating a map than just placing a light entity here or there. Or,
just creating two rooms with a door in the middle. Hopefully, this site will guide you through
the process and have you creating your own maps.
